Senior Blurb
10/12/02

It is time for sad goodbyes,
to the ones that laugh and the ones that cry,
to the ones who cannot wait to fly.
To all, good luck in the coming years.
Pursue your dreams and face your fears;
Try to keep your loved ones near.
Thank you for the lessons you taught,
the joy you brought,
the harmony I sought.
It won't be quite the way it's been,
but hopefully we'll meet again.
Farewell...

Love always,
Jen.

Author's Note
For our senior year at my high school, we each got a quarter of a page for a formal portrait, a candid, and a blurb. Most people write their blurbs in the following fashion: "TT--good times, remember banana? AM--UR so cute! BM, EL, JW, JL, I luv U!" In other words, people try and fit every friend in and mention inside jokes, etc. I decided I wanted to generalize mine, because if I didn't I'd probably forget someone and/or run out of room... and besides, I can always write that stuff in individual yearbooks. (Due to lack of space, this poem appears in block form in the yearbook... and they typed "wouldn't" instead of "won't" in the 5th to last line! goddamn.)
