Cats: Casey and Cody

While we still had (just) Frisky, we found Casey, a little gray, in our garage--cold, shivering, and "as skinny as a deer." She was very frail and sorry-looking, until we took her in and fattened her up. Literally. She became quite the little rolly-polly puffball. She was probably about Emma's size, but furrier. And a cuddly little thing too, though a bit moody here and there. (females, eh? haha.) After a while being an indoor cat, Casey wanted to go outside, and it was impossible to stop her from scooting out the door at times. She was so cute running through the grass. But one night she never came back, and unfortunately we think the local coyotes got her. =( Cody, on the other hand, grew to be a big boy--bigger than Domino and Penny are now. (In the picture with both him and Casey on the main Cats page, he was still a kitten of sorts, that's why Casey looks so big compared to him.) He was a character, very playful. He didn't take much of a liking to baby Domino, however, whom we got sometime after losing Casey. Cody died rather suddenly, for an unkown reason; the best hypothesis we have is that his lungs were too small for his body. Poor thing. (We haven't had very good luck with cats, sadly...)

Cody sitting still during a hyper stage... And there are those eyes...

Nifty eye effect--she almost looks a little evil here. Maybe she was in a mood.

all cute and curled up, for now...

She's so little!

The first day we got her. She doesn't look so skinny here, because the ruff around her neck was so puffy.
