If you read the paragraph(s) on the page for the Ryan Adams art, "Smoke," you already know how I first encountered Brett. He was incredibly amusing with his little "contest" and I drew great pleasure from reading his nonsense. So I admired him for his skill in writing the way he did (not just with humor, but style and grace as well)... His writing is immaculately clever and often hilarious, but at the same time involves deep meanings, interesting theories, and enlightening concepts. Just all over incredible stuff for the mind and soul. Anywho, I later discovered how much I love Ryan Adams's music and felt quite indebted to Brett here. It's odd... I've never met Brett or even seen him perform, but I have an inkling I'd enjoy him very much. If his antics are anything like his personality... Hehe. I hope to see him someday... Until then, I'll have to hope he shows up on the message board or in chat now and again. Oh, and I got a very sweet compliment from him on my writing (in my guestbook), and I was deeply flattered. For someone that literary to like my random ramblings, is just amazing to me. ;) Anyways, I suppose that's the story behind this one.
