Goodbye, Bryce!
"Tubes," Charles Playhouse, 05-19-01.

This time I went with my parents and Erin to see the 4:00 Saturday show. We had pretty sweet seats, on the floor to the left with an awesome view. The show was in place of a birthday party, and I even got spoken Happy Birthday to (awww, thanks you-know-who-you-are).

This show gets better and better every time, I swear. :) The three blue men were Bryce (Chris part, and my personal favorite), Andrea (Phil part), and Colin (Matt part). It was such an awesome show. I scared myself by IDing these three by their silouhettes at the beginning. Yeesh. Bryce stole the show with his dynamic stage presence and hilarious antics. [note: I didn't write much about the actual show this time around, so any show moments I remembered, I mentioned while explaining the meet-and-greet photos...]

I suppose I should mention that I was wearing my blue-and-white diamondish contacts on this day... and that's why my eyes look funky in all the pictures. I remember Bryce commenting on the contacts, thinking they were cool and such... um, right. And he said he hoped to see me/us in Chicago someday! Yay!

What's amusing about this picture is that Bryce here looks like the sane one. Erin somehow managed to get blue all over her face before we even took the first picture! Yeesh. But she's good for something--she makes me look perfectly normal. Haha. Anywho, upon seeing Bryce, I said "Hi! Remember us?" and he said, "yeah!" and seemed happy to see me. I mean us. =P I gave him a hug right away because I couldn't help myself, and succeeded in getting blue all over my sleeve [note: which never did wash out, by the way]. My bad. But, though Bryce seemed concerned and was like "whoa, careful", I was a true blue fan and was just like, "oh, don't worry about it, I don't care." Heh. Alright, next picture. My ramblings don't even go with this one anymore.

It is too bad Erin didn't quite figure out the concept of "get ALL of your subject in the viewfinder." Ah well. So what if Bryce's head is a little cut off. *rolls eyes* hehe.

This came out so well, I'm very pleased. =) I took this when he wasn't expecting it... I got him into focus and waited till he looked, then snapped it when he momentarily posed. He was very patient with me. Right after, he went to sign someone's ticket, and you should have seen the little laugh I got out of him. It was like half "haha, that girl is giddy" and half a little embarrassed that someone wanted to take a bunch of pictures of him. Anyways... look at his eyes!

Here is Erin getting ANOTHER blue kiss. She got like 50 that day, I swear. Well, 50 if you count getting kissed and giving kisses. She runs around like a maniac and attacks them. If she scares them, it's not quite enough to make them run away, which is a good thing. It was cute though--earlier, when we first came outside, she practically demanded a kiss from Colin, and he obliged... And here's the cute part--she went to kiss him back, on the cheek, and he turned his face and got her on the lips! Heh. She also talked to him quite a bit, supposedly. Needless to say, she had quite the little "thing" for him for a little while. Maybe I would have too if he kissed ME on the lips. =p just kidding.

Here's where I got jealous and thought, "all right, I want a kiss too." Just one is fine, but a kiss. So anyways, Bryce was really nice about it and agreed to not only give me a kiss, but do it for the camera. Which was amusing, because Erin STILL hadn't figured out the camera, and it took her a little time, time in which Bryce "held" the kiss. Actually, when we asked him, he was all "OK" and didn't pause a second, but Erin's like "WAIT! I'm not ready!" *lol* Anywho, I think I look really silly in this picture, but for some reason it's ended up being the favorite of other people.

This is Andrea! She's really cool, she rocked with the rest of them. And she made the most beautiful spin-arts, too. I have one of them hanging in my room! =) The one she made at this show was even cooler; the blue spiral went around one more time than mine, and mine has... 3, I think, rings! She has a unique touch for that. Erin and I complimented her on it. And she spoke, heh... She asked me if I was eternallyblue. She has a pretty, light voice, though really quiet. You rock, Andrea!

So I got my parents to pose with Bryce, so I could get more pictures of Bryce... haha. This first picture was normal (thus it's not here, it's too normal, haha)... But this one's classic: Mom is still looking at the camera being goofy (so that's where I get it from!) and Dad turned around right after the first picture, the classic "I'm outta here" look. Haha! Parents are funny.

Aw, he waved goodbye to me. I waved and said goodbye first, and when he waved back he posed a little, like this, and I couldn't help myself. Heh. Ah, I will miss that guy. He's awesome. I love the look on his face in this picture. He is probably thinking "hahahaha, that girl is so weird."

My god. I apoligize to any of you who might have nightmares after looking at this picture. Haha! Erin looks like she just escaped from the mental hospital, for god's sake. Scary. I am not kidding when I say she makes me look normal. See? See?

Here are two of the band guys, Ramsey (drummer) and Victor (Chapman Stick player). These guys were nice, and they seemed a little pleased, if not surprised, that Erin and I wanted a picture of/with them. I think it's amusing how they have pretty much the same exact looks on their faces in both pictures. It's like I cut Erin out of the first one and put me in to make it look like I'm cool too. Heh.
